Ayurlign Yoga kombiniert auf einzigartige Weise die folgenden Aspekte
Asana is the first part of Hatha Yoga. Asanas refer to physical positions and postures practiced to open the energy channels and psychic centers of the body. By developing control of the body through asana, the mind is controlled and steadiness develops. When the prana (life force) moves freely within the body it becomes subtle, and there is less chance of disease occurring. With an increased flow of energy in the body, toxins are removed from the system and we are able to bend and stretch in a relaxed manner. Practicing asanas is known for the development of higher wisdom and sense of wholeness, revealing its benefits going beyond the physical body. Ayurlign Yoga incorporates static postures and dynamic sequencing creating balance in the body-mind complex, leading to and maintaining an aligned, healthy body.
Ayurvedic Concepts referred to in Ayurlign Yoga teaches us the ‘science of everyday life’ and help us to better understand our unique constitution which is a combination of the 3 all-pervading types of energy . The Sanskrit terms for these functional energy principles are vata, pitta and kapha and can be related to the basic biology of our bodies. Energy is required to create movement so that fluids and nutrients get to the cells (vata: principle of movement), to metabolize the nutrients in the cells (pitta: principle of transformation), and to lubricate and maintain the structure of the cell (kapha: principle of structure). Understanding the complexities of our human body in a logic and simple way, can help us to make the right food & lifestyle choices. Ayurlign Yoga works with Ayurvedic concepts, especially Marma points for a better understanding of how to prevent disease and maintain our health – energies in balance and feeling at ease.
Kriya refers to ‘action with awareness’ or ‘evolutionary action’ creating expansion and liberation – a simple, but powerful psychophysiological method by which the human blood is decarbonated and recharged with oxygen; the atoms of this extra oxygen are transmuted into life current to rejuvenate the brain and spinal center. The goal of kriya practice is to go beyond the limitations of the mind allowing the body to learn to cope with higher levels of energy. We practice kriyas to harmonize the life forces in the body, removing harmful stress and promoting health and vitality. The knowledge of these life forces known as ‘Pranavidya’ forms the basis of kriya practices originating from the Vedas, Upanisads, Yogasutras of Patanjali, and many other ancient scriptures. Ayurlign integrates a number of these traditional techniques to rapidly accelerate spiritual development and to create a profound state of tranquility. A regular, conscious kriya practice strengthens our willpower and discriminating intelligence that answers the questions and purpose of human life.
Mantra is a sacred sound, a syllable, a word or group of words in Sanskrit and all sound is an expression of consciousness. Mantras have psychological and/or spiritual powers and chanting them will benefit our memory, neurological health, and brain function and allow for deep experiences expanding our awareness. Ayurlign Yoga integrates mantra to invoke certain energetic responses in our energetic bodies – inviting sacredness into our lives creating an energy-rich environment within ourselves.
Meditation is the foundational practice in the yoga system. Practiced regularly, meditation brings a sense of inner peace, clarity and freedom to the mind, leading to a vital and energized life. By focusing on the present, we gain new perspectives on stressful situations, build skills to manage stress and increase self-awareness and intuition. Ayurlign Yoga supports you to integrate a regular meditation routine into your daily life using simple techniques during practice sessions. An initiation into Ayurlign Method, a systematic practice based on the Ayurlign Aspects, will allow you to access, cultivate, and express deeper layers of consciousness – connected to your inner wisdom.
Playful Movement is a workout philosophy that focuses on physical activities and ways of moving our energies within the body that make us happy. It encourages a purely positive experience, increases body awareness, brings joy and challenges us at the same time. Ayurlign Yoga creates a safe space to move and play freely without any given restrictions to more deeply explore our being beyond the limitations of our minds.
Pranayama / Breathwork includes all practices and techniques through which we activate and increase the quantity of prana (subtle life force) in our body to a higher frequency. Our conscious breath is a key to our emotional and mental state. No other bodily function reacts in a more direct, sensitive, and diverse way to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual changes. Breathing is a direct means of absorbing prana and the manner in which we breathe sets off pranic vibrations which influence our entire being. Working with the breath increases our level of vital energy, brings about greater concentration, clarity, tranquility, and calmness. The ancient Yogis made use of this connection and developed many different kinds of breathing techniques. In Ayurlign Yoga, I work with both the classical pranayama practices and practices I have been initiated to by living masters in India and Sri Lanka. They are potent, simple, powerful and life-changing.
Nachhaltigkeit is the need of the hour. We as human beings can harness plants, animals, water and air to preserve ourselves and thereby maintain our balance, but by doing so we also need to take care that the balance of nature is preserved. Humans at this point in history are the only life form on earth that tries to work against the laws and wisdom of nature (in Ayurveda termed as ‘Prajnaparadha’ and translates into ‘crimes against wisdom’). We have the tendency to exploit nature disproportionately and immoderately resulting in an ongoing environmental degradation that we can’t deny. This results in ecosystems out of balance as a consequence of humanity out of balance. Ayurlign encourages living in balance, integrating a sustainable lifestyle by making better choices regarding our impact on the environment. If we correct our intellect and develop inner wisdom, we make more sustainable choices as we understand that we depend on a healthy environment to thrive. We recognize ourselves in the other and are naturally inclined to balance imbalances on a macro level. No matter where and how we serve, we ultimately serve ourselves – as we see ourselves in the other. Realize that world peace is a function of inner peace. Go with the flow, live & enjoy for the wellbeing of all.
