ayurveda - the science of life
Ayurveda is India’s age-old system of natural medicine and the science of extending human lifespan (Sanskrit “ayu” meaning life, “veda” knowledge). The traditional knowledge is based on nature’s everlasting principles and from these principles derives its universal character. Living in alignment with nature’s energies and by integrating certain tools such as yoga and meditation into one’s lifestyle, Ayurveda awakens the internal wisdom for a healthy, happy and meaningful life!
Ayurveda’s primary method of supporting health and longevity is through diet and lifestyle and harnesses herbs, massage, cleansing techniques, and broad range of holistic treatments that are useful in a given situation to restore, maintain or improve our health.

Being entirely holistic, the Ayurvedic system strives for a state of natural balance within our body and its environs. If the body resides in this state of balance and is in contact with its true nature we feel healthy and vital. We act wisely when in alignment with the all prevailing bioenergies (Vata, Pita and Kapha) and rhythms which govern life in and outside the body. Ayurveda defines health as being in balance, a state that allows us to realize our own truth and live our lives according to our personal goals. On the contrary, stress is equivalent to a state when the body gets out of balance due to an unhealthful lifestyle. This imbalance often results in a primary stage of bodily disorders and diseases -that according to Ayurvedic teachings is a consequence of a disconnection with one’s own inner wisdom. Therefore, Ayurvedic actions bring us back into balance and activate our own healing power.

During an Ayurlign Guidance session I will assess your particular situation, not only on the physical level, but also on the mental/emotional level (e.g. relationships, stress levels, reaction to environmental changes, food cravings and aversions, sexual desire, quality of sleep, etc). The assessment will help to disclose your unique constitution and determine if there’s a current imbalance. Dietary and lifestyle recommendations will suppport you to bring you back into your individual balance – activating your body’s self-healing mechanisms for optimum immunity & vitality. Through our counseling you will learn to realize unhealthful behavioral patterns and habits and let go of these in order to bring you closer to your true inner wisdom.
